Olympic
sports complex, Lake Placid
The Pennsylvania Sled
Dog Club (PSDC) and Down East Sled Dog Club (DESDC) has
opened registration for the second annual Mushing USA Skijor
Training Camp and Clinic in Lake Placid, New York to take
place on new years weekend 2007/2008.
The training camp will
be hosted at the Olympic Sports Complex venue in Lake
Placid, NY. The camp will
include one daily skijor session, two daily Nordic skate
sessions and two evening lectures. Nordic ski instruction
and workouts will be facilitated by Nordic Ski coaches with
National, collegiate and high school coaching experience.
The new initiative for the 2007-2008 Ski Dawg Ski Training
Camp will be the addition of a Junior Skijor Development
program. For the first time, camp registration will be open
to juniors from all ski and skijor abilities
This is a great
opportunity for Nordic skiers to get some hands on
experience with skijoring and also taking advantage of three
days of skate ski technique work. See

July 18 - 27, 2007, JLS Sports 6th Annual trip to Trout Lake
Washington nordic summer training camp.

Participants will take part in two to
three daily training sessions that are challenging and focused on
making you better skiers, roller ski workouts that wind up and
around the mountains on paved logging roads with spectacular views,
fantastic home cooked food, A high powered coaching staff with
opportunities for lots of individual attention, video analysis done
Western style and plenty of 'Ultimate' to round out the fun!
Prior years have
included a trek up Mount Adams, and last year a group comprised of
several of the J1 /OJ's and coaches made it to the summit of 12, 240
feet.
In addition to the
awesome training venue, this camp gives participants an opportunity
to meet and train with skiers from several other divisions,
including PNSA and the Mid West.
As an added bonus,
our group will head out a few days in advance to spend some time in
Bend Oregon, training with the MBSEF juniors and enjoying some
adventures. Rafting, horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking at
the famous Smith Rock Climbing area, are all possibilities. The
camp dates are July 12 - 16th and we will head out to Bend on or
around July 9th.
Space is
very limited- JLS Sports has 5 spots available. First come,
first served.
The trip cost will
be all inclusive, including airfare, ground transportation, meals,
lodging in Bend, camp fee and group adventure fees will all be
included in the price.
