Saturday, March 8:

2008 NYSSRA Short Course Time Trial Championships: Interval start, Classical technique. A 1 km lactic acid-fest to see who is the best short distance skier in New York. Age-group points will count for the NYSSRA points series.

2008 NYSSRA Club Championship Relay: Sanctioned clubs may enter teams of 2 or 3 to ski the 6 lap Classical race. Skiers must alternate each lap around the 2 km course. Clubs may enter as many teams as they wish.

Sunday, March 9:

2008 NYSSRA Champions Cup Race: 25 km Freestyle. Mass Start. Again, on the rolling terrain of the Biathlon side, the NYSSRA Champions cup will be used to crown the top skiers in New York State. NYSSRA points are doubled for this race. Points will be used to crown NYSSRA Points Series champions and to determine the overall 2008 NYSSRA Club Series Champions! Awards to follow the race.

Saturday 3/8/08

10:30 am to 11:30am 1k time trial classical. rolling starts. Sign in pay $5 get 2 runs. take your runs at any time within the 1 hour window. think you can better your time buy more runs for $5. all runs must be completed by 11:30am. (this counts as a nyssra series qualifier)

2pm Club Relays 6x3k classical - 2 or 3 skiers per team $30 per team. Skiers alternate laps anyone can form a team for this event - nyssra registered clubs that form teams will be competing for the club champs cup. Three classes; all women team, all men team, mixed team, skiers can compete in more than one class such as once on a men's and once on a mixed team all ages can compete

Registration: on site for sprints between 10:30am and 1:30pm $5. For Relays - teams should be registered by 1pm $30/team.

Sunday 3/9/08

10:30 am 25k freestyle - mass start (3 starts; mens mass start, women's mass start, and j2 mass start)

depending on course layout J2's and younger will complete one loop which will be between 7.5k and 12k

Medals will be awarded In each age class for this race. in addition to the series awards

Series awards will be presented to the top 4 points holders in each class. you must compete in this event to get the series award. (to be eligible for the series awards you must have competed in at least two nyssra series qualifiers and this race. the super sprints count as a qualifier so if you have only raced once this year you can still get in on this.
