Presidential statement regarding 28^th  Annual Tug Hill Tourathon:

    Upon information received regarding the recent Tug Hill Tourathon it appears that standards and practices set forth by NYSSRA Nordic, Inc. were not adhered to.  NYSSRA Nordic, Inc. sanctions races under the pretence that they will be run properly and safely under the guidelines set forth by NYSSRA Nordic, Inc., as well as nordic skiing's national governing body, the United States Ski Association.  It appears that this race did not follow proper nordic event organization or protocol.  NYSSRA Nordic, Inc. strives to provide its members with safe, well organized events designed to promote nordic ski racing in New York State.  NYSSRA Nordic, Inc. hopes that any negative experiences encountered by participants at the Tug Hill Tourathon will not deter them from future participation in NYSSRA Nordic, Inc. sanctioned events.
